Lisa Dillman
Senior Director
Lisa has nearly two decades’ experience in research and evaluation, focusing on K–12 education, postsecondary access, student basic needs, cradle–to–career initiatives, and public benefits access. With a strong foundation in mixed-methods research, Lisa has conducted a variety of studies, including developmental evaluations, randomized control trials, user experience studies, and case studies, all with the aim of advancing equity and social justice by improving programs and systems.
At Equal Measure, Lisa leads strategic evaluation projects for clients including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, United Way of Greater Greensboro, and The BUILD Health Challenge. Lisa currently teaches applied research and evaluation courses to graduate students at Claremont Graduate University and undergraduate students at UCLA. She was the 2016 recipient of the Marcia Guttentag Promising New Evaluator Award, given by the American Evaluation Association.
Prior to joining Equal Measure, Lisa was the Director of Research at Benefits Data Trust, a nonprofit focused on creating more efficient ways to connect people to benefits and services. Her other previous experience includes serving as the Director of Research and Evaluation at The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia’s science museum, and as a senior advisor in evaluation at Education Northwest, focusing on helping partners develop actionable, evidence-based solutions that support every student’s success.
