Jenessa has supported small businesses and nonprofits for more than 10 years in her professional roles, leveraging her experience in environmental and women’s studies alongside her passion for accounting and administration.

At Equal Measure, Jenessa manages the financial and accounting operations for project and administrative staff. She works closely with the organization’s finance and human resources functions to create financial reports and procedures and to administer accounting systems. She also serves as an internal expert on fiscal transactions, expense reporting, and auditing.

Before Equal Measure, Jenessa was the finance manager at Nomadic Learning, a collaborative learning platform startup. She handled US and UK payroll, monthly financial reconciliation and reporting, and revenue share recording with external partners. Blending her finance and natural resource backgrounds, Jenessa also served as manager of finance and administration for TennGreen Land Conservancy. She managed all financial reporting, HR and payroll, and the Form 990 and audit processes for the Conservancy. Jenessa also worked for The Land Trust for Tennessee in various administrative roles, including as administrative manager for the CFO, where she coordinated accounts payable and receivable, supported the annual audit, and monitored land conservation easements in rural Tennessee.
