Equal Measure congratulates the Honorable Cherelle Parker on her historic election and swearing in as Philadelphia’s next mayor. As the first woman—and first Black woman—elected to the office, she’s already breaking barriers and proving that representation matters.

As a social change organization celebrating 40 years since our founding in Philadelphia, and with deep roots in the city, we look forward to building a meaningful relationship with Mayor Parker to advance our shared priorities and continuing to work with the city to build a fairer, more just Philadelphia that works for everyone and keeps racial equity at the center of everything we do.
